What Is GB/T 47087-2026?

GB/T 47087-2026 is China’s first national standard for testing static load peel resistance of adhesive tapes. It defines how to measure creep performance under constant tensile load. The standard provides unified test principles, equipment requirements, sample preparation methods, and result analysis procedures. YG Group participated as a principal drafting organization. The standard will take effect on August 1, 2026.

This new framework improves testing accuracy. Moreover, it reflects real application conditions where adhesive tapes must endure long-term stress.

Why Does This Standard Matter?

This standard matters for three main reasons:

  1. It establishes a unified evaluation method for creep resistance.

  2. It complements traditional peel and tack testing systems.

  3. It improves reliability assessment for industrial applications.

Therefore, manufacturers, engineers, and quality teams can now evaluate adhesive tape performance with greater consistency.

A New Benchmark for Static Load Peel Testing

GB/T 47087-2026 introduces a new testing framework. Unlike traditional peel tests, this method evaluates creep resistance under constant load.

This is important because adhesive tapes often face long-term stress. However, previous systems did not fully simulate real application conditions.

The new standard defines:

  • Test principles
  • Equipment requirements
  • Environmental conditions
  • Sample preparation
  • Result analysis

Therefore, manufacturers now have a unified method for evaluating adhesive performance.

This standard directly benefits industrial adhesive tape solutions. It strengthens quality control. In addition, it improves product reliability in real applications.

Updated Terminology for a Modern Industry

GB/T 22396-2026 updates pressure-sensitive adhesive terminology for the first time since 2008.

Nearly 100 new definitions were added. Several old terms were revised. As a result, technical communication becomes clearer.

Moreover, the revision improves international compatibility. This helps global cooperation and trade.

Clear terminology also supports development of pressure-sensitive adhesive materials. Therefore, engineers and manufacturers can align more efficiently.

From Manufacturing to Standard Leadership

YG Group’s participation reflects a broader strategy. The company integrates R&D, testing, and manufacturing across its global production bases.

In addition, advanced laboratory systems support scientific validation (see our R&D and laboratory capabilities).

Because of this infrastructure, the company transforms production experience into industry standards. Therefore, it moves beyond manufacturing and toward technology leadership.

Furthermore, its long-term commitment to sustainability aligns with its ESG initiatives.

Driving High-Quality Industry Development

Standards create order. Innovation creates progress.

By contributing to national standardization, YG Group strengthens the adhesive industry’s technical foundation. Moreover, it improves testing accuracy and evaluation transparency.

Looking ahead, the company will:

  1. Deepen adhesive material research

  2. Enhance intelligent manufacturing

  3. Expand global collaboration

  4. Support further standard development

Therefore, YG Group remains committed to delivering safer, more reliable, and scientifically validated adhesive solutions worldwide.
